A Message from Mayor Mitch Landrieu

The Industrial Development Board (IDB) is an important part of the economic development and continued growth of the city of New Orleans. The IDB has revitalized existing and new projects around the New Orleans area and facilitates the continued expansion of our city. Although the City has been hit hard by several man‐made disasters I still anticipate growth throughout the area and have faith in the continued development of New Orleans.

The New Orleans City Council created the IDB in 1972 and it has helped provide low cost bond financing and access to other building incentives throughout its tenure. The IDB is a self-sustained public corporation that works independently to help cultivate the future of New Orleans construction.

Please take time to view the 2009 annual report of the Industrial Development Board of the City of New Orleans.
